Similar to the Unfinished Platform Bed, this platform bed frame is made in the USA from smooth, unfinished wood. In contrast to the Unfinished Platform Bed, this features a 40” high mission style headboard. The sturdy design of this platform bed features solid wood cross slats which fit securely into pockets on the side rails and center rails that run the length of the bed. The two center rails allow for the slats to be shorter which increases the strength and stability of the bed frame. For the Queen and King Size, 2 center legs are included for additional support. The top of the cross slats are flush with the top of the 4 bed rails creating a level, rattle free base for your mattress. If closer slat spacing is desired, we offer an upgrade to the PLUS which meets the requirements of most latex/memory foam mattress manufacturers. Made from 3” x 1” solid wood boards, the legs on the bed provide excellent support without taking up valuable floor space. Planed and sanded, the unfinished wood can be left natural or finished to coordinate with your existing décor. The platform of the bed frame is 15” high and offers 12” of clearance under the frame. Your mattress will lay directly on top of this platform bed and no box spring is needed.
